Shipping & Receiving

Job Title:         Shipping and receiving  / Parts Delivery

Reports to:      Parts Manager

Position Information:

The shipping and receiving / parts delivery clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.  This position is also responsible for picking up and delivering all parts for the dealership.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify all incoming and outgoing shipments, invoices, and stock orders daily.
  • Deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores and vendors.
  • Complete a lot at times of delivery and request recipients’ signature.
  • Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
  • Control daily watch on customers. Will call parts by notifying customer or advisor.
  • Assist on all returns.
  • Assist warranty administrator with all warranty claims to be returned.
  • Operate a forklift according to OSHA standards.
  • Post weights and shipping charges.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damages, record shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Keep manager informed of all problems and stock requirements.
  • Be responsible for basic upkeep of the parts truck; keep vehicle clean, check oil with each fill up and ensure that the truck is lubricated and tires are in good condition.

Qualifications:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.  One-year experience in a dealership position.  Ability to interpret information, basic knowledge of parts and manufacturer ordering guidelines and the ability to use parts department computer and the Reynolds and Reynolds system.

Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding position.  Will stand for a good portion of each shift.  Will lift and transport parts several times during the day and will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Quick Lube Technician

 Department: Service

Title: Lube Rack Technician

Reports to: Service Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic maintenance on the vehicles
  • Lube-oil-filter, rotate tires, headlights, wipers, transmission service, radiator flush, air filters, etc
  • Communication with service advisors and customers

Qualifications:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Previous experience or training in a related position

Parts Delivery Driver

Position Information:

The parts driver delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores and vendors
  • Complete a log at times of delivery and request recipients signature
  • Unload truck each night
  • Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts
  • Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department
  • Keep parts vehicle clean
  • Be responsible for basic upkeep of truck
  • check oil with each fill-up
  • ensure that truck is lubricated and tires are in good condition and properly filled

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Valid drivers license and a good driving record
  • Ability to be trained on inventory, operate fork lift and have ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts
  • Clean, professional appearance is required
