Full-Time Positions

 

1. Lube Technician

Department:    Service

Title:               Lube Rack Technician

Reports to:      Service Manager

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic maintenance on the vehicles
  • Lube-oil-filter, rotate tires, headlights, wipers, transmission service, radiator flush, air filters, etc
  • Communication with service advisors and customers

Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Previous experience or training in a related position
  • Organized and able to work unsupervised
  • Clean, neat professional appearance
  • Professional attitude
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license and clean driving record

Tasks

  • Perform 27 or 12 point safety inspections
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Note work needed and estimate costs
  • Keep needed supplies stocked
  • Assist porter when needed
  • Assist technicians as needed
  • Attend training and shop meetings

Working Conditions

The Quick Service Technician works in the service lane, which is in an open garage area. She/he will be exposed to all climate conditions.  She/he will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

2. Detailer / Lot Manager

Job Title:         Detail Supervisor

Supervisor:      General Manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicles for delivery
  • Park vehicles in inventory
  • Change license plates
  • Install Illinois temporary plates
  • Run miscellaneous errands for sales management
  • Assist in ensuring neat appearance of retail facility as needed (pick up litter, snow, clean outside ashtrays and garbage cans)
  • Restock the cleaning products
  • Keep you work area clean
  • Supervise detail staff and oversee quality of work
  • Responsible for employee training and scheduling
  • Assist in providing performance review input
  • Maintaining and making ready the wholesale vehicles.

 

Qualifications:

Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s license with a good driving record.  Be 17 years of age, able to drive a manual transmission, be reliable, and be able to take directions from several people and handle more than one task at a time.  Candidate must also be a reliable team player. Previous supervisory experience mandatory.

 

Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding position.  Will stand six to eight hours per shift.  He/she will bend, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach.  Will also be exposed to noise, dust, vibration, cleaning solutions and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials and will be in and out of changing weather.

3. Service Technician

Department:    Service

Title:               Technician

Reports to:      Service Manager and Team Leader

Responsibilities:

  • Determine cause of malfunction through the use of test equipment, test drive, service information (bulletins) and information supplied by customers.
  • Provide service advisors with accurate information for repairs (cost, parts needed, time, etc).
  • Review vehicle history files, promote the sales of labor and parts as needed on vehicles.
  • Report any damage or injury to service manager immediately.
  • Maintain regular attendance at shop meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well with others.
  • A desire to do tasks correctly the first time.
  • Goal oriented.
  • Technical training.
  • Certification of previous experience in a related position.
  • Professional attitude and capable of working with customers.
  • Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance.
  • Must be able to perform all required functions of this position.
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and a good driving record.

Tasks:

  • Document work performed and applicable technical information.
  • Keep work areas cleaned and organized.
  • Return Company tools to designated areas daily.
  • Use all necessary precautions with customers’ vehicles (safety and cleanliness).
  • Test drive with customers when necessary to prevent comebacks.
  • Maintain required production levels 100-110%.

4. Salesperson

  • Responsible for the sale of new and used vehicles
  • Maintain acceptable CSI levels
  • Establish a follow-up and prospecting system
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge
  • Set and meet goals and standards that are established
  • Keep your name in front of the customers
  • Participate in manufacturers testing and training
  • Attend daily meetings
  • Be alert for customers on front line
  • Dress and behave in a professional manner
  • Make daily appointments
  • Plan each days schedule
  • Set a goal and a action plan
  • Prompt arrival and good attendance
  • Complete required paperwork on each deal

  • Provide prompt, efficient cleaning of assigned vehicles in a timely manner
  • A display of commitment towards customer satisfaction
  • Safe precautions handling of all vehicles and maintain a clean safe work area
  • Maintain lot and appearances of such
  • Assist sales in plate transfers and gas for customer deliveries

 Qualifications:

  • Professional, clean appearance with use of company uniforms assigned
  • Valid Illinois license and good driving record
  • Organized and able to work independently
  • Dependable, punctual and capable of working with fellow employees
